Blog Fever

In typical Firemind fashion my ideas are coming all at once. I do tend to think and write, then reflect, and write again. When ideas are interrelated they can jockey for position. I have to balance expressing myself adequately and repeating myself. It is an enjoyable juggling act.

Another common theme is having pure ideas overcome a report of my daily events. Writing through a problem or discussing an idea is fresh and vivid. The perfect day or a newly completed novel have already become past tense. An idea in progress is something alive and wild that must be transformed into a coherent piece of writing. Like a Lion Tamer in a circus I become both director and performer.

When the 'fever' strikes I write and enjoy myself. The ideas I don't use aren't lost and will end up somewhere else.

Firemind! The Twix poem! I don't know a lot about poetry, but what I do know is that I love 'Consumption Gumption'! Absolutely, without a doubt. No one has ever written a poem in my name in any way, shape, or form, and I am honoured! And to have it be such an excellent poem, at that... Thank you, Firemind!
