My Arse Is Back!

Blame the title on Brent. I gave a short explanation in the last posts comments. I want to forge ahead instead of whine about the last few days.

Quick Points:

I was describing helping my online friends as 'online peer support' in a conversation this week. One of my volunteer positions is as a Peer Support Worker. The other is 'Computer Assistant' and I train/help people.

The place I am volunteering at will move to downtown Victoria, from the Jubilee area, in November. This means no bus transfers and I can walk home if I wish.

I may go to a funeral Monday. An acquaintance who I worked with in different programs passed away. He had an accident. He was around my age. It used to be my parents talking about peers who passed away. Now it is me and my group. Ah, aging.

I talked to a First Nations Woodcarver named Dean Lucas this week. He carves and sells on the Inner Harbour causeway. The next day I went back with info on Blogger, and Flickr. I pointed him to 'Fire Pix' and said if I can do that you can. If he contacts me by email I will help him.

We link to the big websites because they are easy to find. There are so many neat, local artists who have nothing more than email. Who have you talked about lately?
