The web has been strange lately, at least for me. Blogger burped and I couldn't access many of my regular reads or write here. It works today and all my emails were answered. It must be a conspiracy.
I managed to survive the month financially. I wasn't about to starve, but money seemed hard to hold onto for a while. Maybe I should think "shopaholic" and the money will stick to me. I hate it when everything that looks appealing at the moment costs money. Oh well, it's not like I am addicted or anything. Addiction? No. Slavery ...
I took four rolls of film in on Tuesday and I'll pick them up tomorrow. (More $$$). I am excited because the pics should be neat. There are so many interesting things to see if we just pause and look. I am a good example of someone who put his camera away for too long. Having a reason to change ones perspective makes it easier to do.
Until recently I had a better photographic record of York than I did of Victoria. I visited York for a week or so in 1980. I have lived in Victoria seasonally since 1982 and continually since 1989. Victoria has always been a fascinating place for me, but since I wasn't a 'tourist' I didn't take my camera with me.
I am working on getting a digital camera. Having one won't change some things, but it will be cheaper in the long run and I will have more control over my photos.
One project I won't be able to work on is nanowrimo. Joel challenged me to participate and I thought about plots and ideas. However, what I am lacking at this time is passion and preparation. Part of the problem is that the projects I am involved in don't involve fiction - at least to extent that they will generate a novel's worth of writing.
This is an odd place for me to be. I have either left writing alone for long periods or wrote fiction at a feverish pace. Being involved with newsletters and blogs has satisfied my basic writing needs. My fiction ideas bubble and brew, but aren't ready to erupt yet.
In the end I am left with ideas and choices. I think I will look for some odd adventures.

York rocks, and I love my little fuji finepix, it cost 100gbp and I reckon I have had that much worth of pleasure already.
Thanks for the post on NaNoWriMo. The important thing is that you enjoy what you're doing.
Leon,
They are updating their system during this period. I hope it will work. Comparing with TypePad, Blogger server's reponse time has became unacceptible slow.
By the way, I like your another Blog - Fire Pix. Very good and interesting images over there.
