Pictures, Americans, And Zombies

I went out with my camera around 5:30 pm. I walked from Menzies to Douglas on Michigan and back on Toronto Street. I have almost finished another roll of film. I got some great pictures of old houses, a 19 year old cat named Sampson, and two glorious spiderwebs.

The encounter with Sampson was funny because I saw this old orange cat on a pebbly red and white driveway. I took his picture and then tried to keep him off the road. I saw a sign that had info about the cat and which asked people to not feed it. A passerby moved Sampson to a sunny spot on the sidewalk and I felt it was time to move on.

I stopped at home and dropped off my camera and headed up town. On the way I talked to an American couple from Orange County, California. The man was taking pictures of the Empress Hotel with a digital video camera. We had a nice conversation.

I made it up town in time to see 'Shaun Of The Dead'. This is a bloody, violent, and extremely funny zombie movie. Shaun is a droll character sleepwalking through life who has to become a hero. All of the characters are interesting. Some of the doubletalk bites because it is true to life as well as funny.

After such a wild day I should have interesting dreams tonight.

Am I living in a bubble? How can we possibly be living in the same town, Leon? You have a wonderful eye for pictures, and I am flabbergasted at the sights you've introduced me to. My excuse is that I've only been living here a year or so... all in good time! I truly love the picture of the Moss Street garden...too magical to be real, it seems. Keep up the picture taking! You're inspiring me.

All the best,
Laura-Jane K.

Everything I've heard about the movie has been great. Everyone in my family hates those kind of movies, so I'm afraid I will have to see it alone. But I will see it!

Vegas- capitol 6
Rufus - dare I say (in light of the subject) we share ... good taste.
Brent - but it will be more fun alone. Eat before going...

Laura - Jane - I wondered about that with myself. When we really look around - boy do we see more.
