A Good Day

Yesterday was a very good day. I got up and had brunch and went to my first volunteer day at the new location. The offices are a little disorganized still, but it is beginning to look like home. I showed off my new camera and learned some new things.

I was looking at the changes to our website and thought there could be some improvement. I will play around with some ideas and offer suggestions. My ideas may even be accepted.

I hope to hear about my blogging workshop proposal next week. It would be nice if everything goes as planned. The workshop participants would have The Demo Blog team to rely on and integrate with. They wouldn't spend so much time 'alone' in cyberspace.

The Demo Blog and Our Photoblog keep me busy. I really like how a diverse group of people spread over three countries on two continents can work together and share ideas. So often in my past teamwork meant dealing with people I didn't like in situations I wasn't prepared for. I had the impression that I wasn't a 'group person' or a 'leader'. It is funny to have your self perception challenged.

The last paragraph may seem like a diverging thought, but in the last few days I have seen again how well our team works together.

Last night I ate Chinese food, read blogs and blogged.

Yesterday was a good day.
