Busy Like A Bee.

Yesterday I had a nice lunch and then walked uptown taking pictures. The wonderfully mild weather was perfect for this. I stopped and petted the carriage horses, watched seals and birds in the Inner Harbour (unfortunately the seals were a bit too far away for good pics). I then continued on up Government Street and neighbouring side streets. I finished a few hours later at the intersection of Johnson and Government Streets. I took 104 photos and kept 87 of them.

I climbed to the top of different parkades and wandered through Bastion Square. I visited Waddington Alley and Trounce Alley. I had previously photographed Fan Tan Alley and Odeon Alley.

Overall it was a fun photoshoot wherein I had fun and learned more about my city.

The photoshoot gave me some more ideas for places to lead other photographers to. I will be setting up a Photography Club where I volunteer and hope to lead "Expeditions" to places people may like to photograph. I also hope to include workshops introducing Flickr and Photoblogging using Blogger.

I will have more information by the end of this month.

I spent today at REES Network's Winter 2005 Partnership Conference. There were a number of speakers dealing with the theme: "A Day In The Life Of A Consumer". The keynote presentation was a one woman play called "Crazy For Life" Victoria Maxwell's story of how she is dealing with bi-polar disorder. The play was funny, and thoughtful, and at times a bit gut wrenching, because of its honesty and insight.
