Inside Outside

Photography is very much a process of discovery for me. Especially if I am busy walking around the city trying to see things and not 'think' too much about 'taking good pics'. When I am intuitive I experiment more and I tend to 'see' things more clearly.

The following two pictures are of the same flower that I saw on a desk at my volunteer job. The first photo is a 'macro' taken inside the petals of the flower. At first I used a flash but it looked bad so I took a pic using natural light. I like how this picture turned out.

The second picture was more of an intuitive shot. It wasn't perfect but it shows enough of the flower to add context to the first pic and is colourful in itself.

Sometimes I do slow down and take care to take the best photo of a subject. I take lots of pics and choose the best ones to upload. Sometimes one imperfect picture is enough to record what I saw.
