I finally got a Gmail account so I can eventually connect with friends who want to try Google Talk. Where is the bandwagon so I can jump on it? Peer pressure, sheesh.:)
I use Kopete and it doesn't support Google Talk yet. I can use most of the other protocols. I primarily use MSN and AIM. I prefer the latter because of that annoying message about non hotmail accounts.

One thing I can't do on this computer; without fixing something (or getting a USB headset); is voice communication with Skype and other programs. My input/ouput audio doesn't work. It is a hardware problem and not worth fixing. Oh well.

Didn't you say that Kopete supports Jabber last night? If it supports Jabber, it supports Google Talk, sans the voice chat option.
