RF 01 - Latin For Piglets

this is an audio post - click to play

The letters v-a-g are added to every syllable in a word. Va becomes vah and the g begins the final sound in the syllable.

Examples:

  • Jake is pronounced Jay-vah-gake

  • Poompa = Poo-vah-goom-pah-vah-ga

  • Animationman= Ah-vah-gan-nih-vah-gim-may-vah-gay-shuh-vuh-gun-mah-vah-gan

Now you see why short words are easier!

Wikipedia has an entry for Pig Latin. One of the links leads to an English to Pig Latin Translator. Neither of these links deal with the form discussed above.

Now THERE'S something I didn't expect.

I'll give this a try, but I'm mostly useless at things like this...

A strange language indeed. Quite humorous actually. I can't imagine trying to sing a song like this. When you perfect it make sure you audio us a song. :)

Keith - is that a challenge? :) The only song I can sing is Frere Jaques but I can do English and French. (off key).
