I uploaded the rest of my pics from the Santa Claus Parade.
This one isn't too clear, but it does show the parade heading north on Government Street. I took the photo from the intersection of Government and Belleville.

I am drawn to the atmosphere of the Government Street pic. No, really, the atmosphere. I like that you can see just a bit of the mist in the air as the fog comes in for the evening. I miss that from when I lived close to the ocean. The streetlamps with their halos, foghorn wailing in the distance, the safety in that everything becomes so much closer than in a dry, inland city.
A lot of the effect is due to poor light and not using a flash. The mist was rising though.
The coastal air is nice. I like the fog too. One troublesome but nice aspect is that the weather changes so fast. Those long droughts or freezes common in the interior seldome happen here.
