Fido is a strange cross between Shaun Of The Dead and Leave It To Beaver. It is set in a post apocalyptic 1950's world where human survivors are served by zombies made docile by electronic collars.
When Fido - Timmy's pet zombie - eats a neighbour things get complicated and Timmy learns that even zombies can act like human beings.
This is a fun and ultimately warm film about life, learning, and friendship. The acting is good and K'sun Ray plays Timmy very well.
There is a fair amount of blood and gore but it doesn't dominate the film. The gore mixes with the black humour to keep viewers on edge.
I enjoyed this movie and recommend it for anyone who likes comedy and/or horror. I saw a few families with kids aged 10 or 11 and the kids looked like they enjoyed it.
