Happy Music

I bought two CDs today. Vivaldi: The Four Seasons & Wind Concerti and Aaron Copland: Appalachian Spring / Rodeo / Billy the Kid. They were $6.99 each.

The Vivaldi is a delight to listen to. I found myself smiling a lot. I liked 'Spring', the first part of Four Seasons, which was included on a CD I bought in December. The three wind concerti were a pleasant surprise. This was a great purchase because I like strings and wind instruments and I liked all of the music.

I have only listened to the first half of the Copland CD. I am enjoying it but the changes from super soft music to thundering music is troublesome in an apartment. One extreme can't be heard and the other annoys everyone. Still it is enjoyable music that I wanted to listen to.

Once upon a time I hated Classical music. When I learned more about it and approached it on my terms I came to like some of it.
