I ate well yesterday. Breakfast was an omelet. Lunch was Chinese Dim Sum with my friend and dinner was Arroz y paella at the Bent Mast. Spanish saffron rice = mnnmm good.
The dim sum with my friend was interesting because we discussed photography and digital cameras. My friend offered to loan me money once I pay off my computer. In a month or two I may have a digital camera!
My friend pointed out something that I noticed. One very good thing about getting back into photography is that I feel challenged and I get out of the house more.
One thing I like about all this, in relation to my online life, is that I interact more with different people. Flickr is a very dynamic environment and people encourage contacts to try new things. Recently I joined a group about Victoria and one about UVic. Other groups challenge me to take photos that fit their categories. One contact calls the phenomenon 'voluntary assignments'.
In addition to taking new photos I am scanning some old ones. Sometimes whole rolls will get scanned and sometimes just a pic or two. Now that these old pictures are 'useful' again I can't decide which amazes me more: the ones I disliked that I am grateful to have saved or the ones I liked that I now have no use for.
