I lived for a while on the Haines Highway which is similar to the road to Skagway, Alaska. I hadn't been into this area of Alaska since I was ten or eleven.

We stopped here because I had to pee. As I jumped out two things struck me. The cold and the deep snow in Summer.

One memory from when I was four or five is seeing big snow banks in Summer. I took a pic and jumped back into the car because it was cold!
