Happy Birthday Luke!

What a special birthday for young Luke! Almost six months ago Luke drowned in the family pool. He was revived and continues to heal. I became involved when I wrote several Blogging for Luke posts and helped Luke's dad Gordy with his blog. I got to meet Luke and his family in November.

I wasn't sure how I would feel today - ie: whether I would feel emotional or not. So far I just feel warm because a kid I know is having a birthday. That is how it should be another kid having a party. Luke has a long way to go with his healing but on a day like this that's almost secondary. It's the munchies, and toys and family that are important.
