Last week I went to a Meetup of bloggers from Victoria. Some of the people I had met at last month's meeting. The meeting was interesting and we learned that Meetup wants to charge a monthly fee for its services. The fee is too much for a small group like ours so we are looking into alternatives.
One topic that arose that night was about the numbers of bloggers in Victoria. Jon Aquino has written an interesting post about finding local bloggers. He has combined “several blogs into a single webpage.” The display is realtime.
Not everyone is represented but the list can be added to. I imagine my Diaryland readers could add quite a few blogs.
Reading blogs in Victoria helps me gain different perspectives of my city. Now I have sooo many to choose from. :)

Hi Leon! I'm pretty excited about seeing the writings of all Victoria bloggers at my fingertips! To answer your question about your post not showing up right away: I believe Blogdigger has a lag time of 1-2 hours. Also I googled around and it looks like Diaryland doesn't have RSS feeds :-(
That's wonderful you can meet so many folks. Did you get any phone #s? ;-)
Also Leon I've added the Victoriabc Flickr feed, so your photos will show up in there (soon! We'll need to give it an hour or two to kick in).
The whole group thing sounds fun and interesting. I'm glad your taking part in it Leon.
Hooray - your blog finally showed up on the Victoria BC Blogdigger page!!! I guess the turnaround time is 16 hours!!
