Yesterday I went to a Holiday party put on by one of the agencies I deal with at my volunteer job. I had turkey dinner and went back for seconds. I got a pair of socks from Santa and won a poinsettia. I gave the plant away to a lady with a greener thumb than me.
The nicest part of the evening was meeting people I haven't seen for a while. Many people know I like computers and the 'net so naturally they asked about these things. I found myself talking about blogs and online friends a lot. I would have asked people more questions if they had let me. :)
There was a dance afterwards but I left early. It felt like it was time to come home.
Even I need to get away from this computer occasionally.
