Friday Frolics

I walked uptown to pay some bills and look in book stores. When I got to the Inner Harbour I noticed a large sternwheeler moored at Ships Point. I have been on old sternwheelers in the Yukon but this is the first modern one that I have seen. I talked to an employee and picked up a brochure to read.

I stopped at the bank and payed my bills and deposited my GST cheque. Luckily the cheque almost covered the expenses. Next I headed over to Starbucks (at Chapters) to drink a latte' and read the brochure.

I was in a contemplative mood at Chapters. I have been wondering what writing course to take this fall. I bought '100 Ways To Improve Your Writing' (by Gary Provost) for less than ten bucks. This may not help me decide on a course but it will keep me writing.

I have many other books to consider when I can afford them. I am thinking about a wide variety of topics including: Hinduism, Hindu Mythology, General Mythology, Mesopotamian History, and Ghosts. Sometimes I modify a saying to fit myself: "Once a scholar, always a scholar."

After shopping I caught the bus home. Sunshine, snacks and books: what a great way to frolic on a Friday.

I am cataloguing my books.

Up to 150 and only halfway round my bedroom ( the first room I am doing) this is a *very* scary exercise
