Turtles And Herons And More, Oh My.

I wanted to go for a walk and to take some pictures for a tutorial I am working on. I walked around my neighbourhood and then took some pics in the park south of South Park School. This took about two hours and I was ready to have an ice cream and go home.

As I was walking down Douglas Street towards Beacon Drive - In I saw an interesting photo opportunity in Beacon Hill Park. I took the pic and then I saw a Canada Goose. I photographed the Goose and then I laid on the ground to get some great pics of a turtle. I finally started to leave the park and found myself below several Heron nests. I got some pics of Herons too.

I finally made it to the Beacon and it was full of people so I settled for a frappuccino at Starbucks. When I got home I had been out for about four hours and had taken about 45 pics.

Note: The Heron Cam shows pictures and streaming video of the nests I was standing under.

Ice cream and a frap? Lucky dog.

I missed out on the icecream but the frap attack was good. I surrendered to it peacefully.

Thanks ld. At least if I was armed with a camera instead of a coke can they wouldn't think I was passing out.:)
