Friday

When my alarm went off I had gotten virtually no sleep. I just couldn't sleep last night. I unplugged my alarm and tried to get organized but couldn't concentrate so I lay down again. I found myself starting to relax so I let it happen and slept for four hours.

When I woke up I phoned the office and explained what had happened. I would have liked to have volunteered today but needed the rest. I got cleaned up and went out for brunch and walked up town.

I had such a nice slow walk. I paused to pet Huey - one of the carriage horses. He is always friendly and kept nudging me whenever I stopped petting him. When his driver brought some food I stayed out of the way because sometimes he will nibble my clothes and I don't like to wear wet oats!

When I got to the causeway at the Inner Harbour I talked with one of the artists for almost an hour. Kathleen paints local scenes in watercolours. I also listened to a young fiddler for a while and took his photograph.

I paid some bills at the bank and had a latte and a snack. The store I wanted to visit was closed when I got there so I decided to come home.

Today started out bad but I feel much better now. I am tired but that's okay.
